BRIEF:
BioMed Ireland is an initiative designed to enhance the competitiveness of health technology companies in Ireland.
What they wanted had never been done before - a comprehensive database of all health technology companies, researchers, suppliers and providers in the whole of Ireland - both North and South.
They called frog to find out if this was even possible.
Fortunately, frog's experience in multimedia development meant that we knew exactly how to achieve this, and were able to advise and suggest the way forward:
"To create an easy to use front end to a Microsoft Access database and place the whole thing on a Saddle Card CDRom, mounted in an A5 card folder." (a perfect size for handing out at exhibitions and presentations.)
SOLUTION:
Even though frog were on a tight budget with this one, we managed to incorporate an animated intro sequence, real-time ADD/AMEND details section and email links.
frog not only designed and developed the entire application, but also the artwork and printing for both the CD itself and the card folder to hold it.
The application can be updated at anytime by simply ammending the Microsoft Access database which lies at the heart of the functionality.
RESULT:
BioMed Ireland had great success with this application, and they were able to give them out at many exhibitons and meetings up and down the country.
The wealth of information contained on the small disc is amazing, and frog achieved a great success by making so much information so accessible to the user.
So popular was the application, that frog are now talking to BioMed Ireland about creating a Adobe Flash version for Internet delivery.
