BRIEF:
FG Wilson are ahead of the game when it comes to effective marketing (they won the coveted “Company of the Century” award!) but their range of products and services
changes so quickly that they need a way to keep their worldwide dealer network constantly informed.
Using just the Internet was no good because of the sheer volume of information required so they
turned to CD-Roms and gave frog a call... our brief was a challenging one:
"make an engaging and visually stunning CD in which absolutely everything contained on it can be updated by a small download from the Internet."
SOLUTION:
frog used unique CD programming to develop an application which could be used by any PC user throughout the world.
A registration section on the application prompts users to log their information with FG Wilson via the Internet. This information is accessible at any time to FG Wilson and provides them an invaluable way of keeping track of who is using their CD.
During development, it became apparent that some level of security was also going to be required and frog took this in stride; providing functions which ensure users who choose not to register cannot view certain sections of the application.
The whole application can be updated by the user. This all happens via the Internet and just one single, small download.
RESULT:
The Sales Support Centre CDRom is now at the heart of FG Wilson's ongoing commitment to their customers and dealers worldwide.
And because the CD is fully updateable, FG Wilson have also been able to cut their costs, as they do not need to produce new CD applications every time their product line changes.
In just the first 4 weeks of release, over 400 dealers had registered their information through the CD.
So great was the success of this CD, that frog were again contracted to translate the application into German, French, Italian, Spanish and even Russian!
